L’Eclipse

Song of the Day: L’Eclipse by Mathieu Chedid & Sean Lennon.

This is a French re-make(?) by M. Chedid, of Sean Lennon’s “Parachute” off of “Friendly Fire“.  For some reason Lennon decided he also wanted to be a part of the re-make process for the poppy song.

I can’t decide which version I like best.  Both probably.  They each stand alone, especially since one of them is in a different language.

“Friendly Fire” is Lennon’s second studio album and my favorite of all his works.  It was released in 2006.

Song of the Day: Grace Kelly by MIKA.

This is the first song I heard from MIKA.  It made such an impact on me that I quickly turned to listening to French music, because I thought he sounded French.  Although, this party that he’s playing at seems very French and I think I’d have a good time there with him.
